For future commission

>> 2.2.10

*wipes away some sweat and tears*
Just finished up listing the takoyaki and sushi. I have the takoyaki in 1:4 and 1:12 scale.

My friends managed to poison me to buy my own BJD dolls! (LoL, I'm shifting the blame to them). I have been planning with Snowfern even before the TDA last December, but with new friends and more doses of poison, I have fallen in love with Leeke's Mabel and Luna. T_T
I have enough savings (from the past exhibitions and some from my part-time job last time), but they would be all gone in a click. LoL
*now thinking how to explain this to my parents, because certainly I can't hide two 40cm dolls from them!*

I am not sure yet, just thought if I wrote it here so I won't forget.
So here is my FAQ for future commission

ILLUSTRATION COMMISSION
~ will do mostly traditional tools; which I think suits me the best
~ I will need specific reference (example: colour, medium, special characteristic)
~ 50% deposit
* I haven't thought of any other rules yet, will add more later on

MINIATURE CLAY COMMISSION
~ mostly I will do in 1:12 (one inch scale) and 1:4 scale (my future doll scale XD); other scale will depend on commission
~ type of food will be either japanese food/sweets or western dessert
~ at least 50% deposit
* Here is my reasoning for price: while bigger piece might be (sometimes) easier to make, but they are wasting a lot of clay. And smaller is clearly because it is hard to do. XD

For those who are interested, you can e-mail me (see my profile). I'm sorry, but I want to be sure that my future commissions are from serious buyer.

Hrm, what else should I say? I forgot XP.
These days Singapore feels so hot and stuffy. I feel like becoming a panda bear and go into long hibernation mode. *smack my own head* I'm talking more nonsense.

More japanese food coming right up!

>> 31.1.10

Takoyaki in 1:4 and 1:12 scale. And I made the 1:12 mayonnaise bottle and grilled squid too ^^.
Here you can see the 1:4 takoyaki with my friend's doll. I am happy that it fits him.

In Japan, usually they sell takoyaki and the grilled squid during the summer festival. And yes, I am planning to make more festival foods soon enough.

And sushi~
I don't know how long since I plan to make these since my first attempt around one and a half year ago. I am beaming proudly because it looks exactly as I imagined it to be.

Omurice & rabbit-shaped-apple-cuts in 1:12. I made the bigger one and sold a few during the TDA last month/year. The smaller apple is VERY hard, even harder than what I have imagined it to be.

Ochazuke was often enjoyed in late-night-dinner, after drinks with colleagues. It basic ingredients are rice, rice cracker, seaweed, and japanese tea is poured over at the end. Other common toppings are salmon, wasabi, mentaiko/tarako, or umeboshi.

Katsu-don (with rice on the bottom) and Pork Katsu (pork cutlet); both are my favourite recently. Imagined eating this when you are hungry and feeling cold. Yum!

SoY'B' 2010 report!!!

As usual, the clumsy slow me always have a misfortune and luck on the same day. X(
But I always prefer to hear the bad news first, hoping that the good news is more memorable ^^

Few reason why I think I fail:
~ I targeted the wrong kind of audiences this time
~ Nobody read the signs that I have put there for each items (I should considered a much bigger one next time!)
~ The organizer were even more panicky than me! LoL

Few reason why I think I succeed:
~ I didn't make much of new things this time around (since I plan that I have to clear my older stocks this time around)
~ My friends came and helped me!!! All in support, buying, and helping me to sell (and making fun of me) =.=

These are the exhibitor tags of the crazy loons! XD

I still have a lot of valentine's special leftover, but I don't know if I should sell them on my shop :(. Maybe I can give them as an extra give instead.

I'm going back to my country on the February 9th until March 2nd (might as well say it on the 3rd). So I am holding the shipping special discount to both local and international on my etsy!
